Dr. Sayan Bayan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh, India. Dr. Bayan has completed Ph.D. in Physics from Tezpur University, India. He has pursued post-doctoral research from Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata and Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur during 2013-2018. He has also served as CSIR Senior Research Associate under Scientist’s Pool Scheme at S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata, India from 2018 to 2021. His research area includes nanostructured materials, optoelectronics and energy harvesting devices. Currently, he is engaged in the development of low dimensional materials of metal oxide and 2D materials for application in Triboelectric and Piezoelectric based self-powered sensors. The applicability of the developed self-powered sensors are being demonstrated in diverge areas like healthcare, security, environmental monitoring and food quality assessment. He has published more than 50 research articles in reputed international journals and has 2 Indian Patents to his credit. Apart from that he has contributed several book chapters in international publishing houses like Elsevier, Springer etc
